SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,519 lbs at 239.33 heifers 1,355 lbs at 239.46. Dressed
delivered steers 993 lbs at 376.15, heifers 886 lbs at 376.15. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 8.83 lower at 404.77
and Select 3.84 lower at 382.87.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared to
last week, Early weaned pigs mostly 1.00 higher, feeder pigs mostly 1.00 lower.
Mostly moderate demand for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
57.85; 40 lbs cash basis 73.39.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was at 79.23.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 86.21 450-499 lbs 90.96, and 500-549 lbs
94.33.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 7 cents lower; elevator bids 3.83-5.03, processor bids
4.83-4.98. New Crop Soybeans bids were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 9.77-10.02, processor bid
n/a and export 10.67.
Wheat bids were mixed, 7 cents lower to 22 cents higher; elevator bid 4.65.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.23
higher at 64.42.
